Preston Avery (Jeffrey Doornbos) is trying to deal with the loss of his wife and daughter. However, he finds himself isolated and alone, especially since he now lives in their home, all by himself. As he slowly finds himself being consumed deeply by grief, a motorcycle mysteriously appears on his doorstep one day. This prompts Preston to abandon his life and go on a ride across California. Along the way, he meets a young woman named Tracey (Vanessa Campbell), whose spirited nature might offer Preston the lifeline to pull himself out of his longtime rut.
